Get freelance contracts and client approvals signed without another monthly fee.
Use the contract, proposal or agreement you already prepare, export it to PDF and add the signing layer. PocketESign is especially useful when your volume changes month to month and you do not need another CRM, client portal or invoicing system.
Sign the moments that change the client project.
A freelancer does not need to turn every interaction into a form. Signing adds the most value when it makes the client decision and accepted version clear.
Proposal or estimate
Acceptance of scope and price before reserving time, buying resources or starting deliverables.
Contract or service agreement
Project rules, payment terms, responsibilities, timeline and change process in one final version.
Scope change
Extra work, revised price, new dates or changed deliverables without overwriting the original agreement.
Delivery sign-off
Acknowledgement of a milestone, delivery or closeout when that record adds value to the project.
Standalone signing, freelancer suites and e-signature subscriptions solve different problems.
The right choice depends on which part of the workflow is missing, not which platform has the longest feature list.
| Need | PocketESign | Freelancer all-in-one | E-signature subscription |
|---|---|---|---|
| Best fit | Final PDFs + uneven volume | Contracts + proposals + projects + invoicing | Frequent, predictable signing |
| Document creation | Use your existing tool | Usually built in | Varies by provider |
| CRM / invoicing | No | Often included | Usually not |
| Cost model | One-time credits | Monthly fee | Limited free tier or monthly fee |
| Choose another option if… | You need to create, negotiate and collect payment in the same platform | You already like your stack and only need signing | Your volume is low and uneven so the recurring fee is wasted |
A zero-signature month should not force you to “use” a subscription.
Purchased credits remain available for later projects. PocketESign also reserves a credit while a request is active and permanently uses it only when the request completes; cancellation, decline or expiry releases the reservation.
If you then go weeks without sending anything, the remaining credits stay available. At high, steady volume, always compare annual cost with an unlimited subscription.
Compare pay as you go vs subscription →From final agreement to project kickoff without rebuilding your stack.

“Electronic signature” can describe different assurance levels.
Some documents or policies can require stronger identity, an advanced or qualified signature, certificates, witnesses, notarization or another specific process. PocketESign is a standard PDF e-signature workflow and should not be presented as a substitute for a higher-assurance signature level when that is required.
Questions from freelancers and independent professionals.
Does my client need an account?
No. The recipient uses the signing link and does not need to create a PocketESign account.
Can I use my own contract or proposal?
Yes. Export the final version as a PDF and use PocketESign only for the signing layer.
Does PocketESign create contracts or invoices?
No. It is designed to sign the PDF you already created. If you want proposals, contracts, CRM, projects and invoicing in one tool, a freelancer suite may fit better.
When can a subscription be cheaper?
When volume is high and steady. Compare real annual cost, limits, signers and included features rather than assuming one model is always cheaper.
Does it cover every signature requirement in Spain or the EU?
Not necessarily. Some documents require a specific signature or identity-assurance level. Check the applicable requirement before choosing the tool.
